"Decent price, just check the extras"
The price feels reasonable compared to other gyms in my area. I signed up mainly because the monthly plan worked with my budget, and there wasn’t some big surprise fee when I joined. That said, a few add-ons can bump the cost up, so it’s worth reading the details before you commit. Overall, I’m fine with what I’m paying for the clubs near me

I tried the childcare at In-Shape and left feeling disappointed. To be fair, the staff didn’t seem rude or careless, it felt more like they were overwhelmed and maybe didn’t have enough support. Pickup was really disorganized, and my kid was upset enough that they didn’t want to go back, which says a lot to me. I expected a smoother setup from In-Shape, so I don’t think I’d trust using it again unless they make some real changes to how it’s managed

"Used to be easier to get a workout in"
I still think it’s a good gym overall, but it definitely feels more crowded than it used to. After work in the evenings, it can be tough to get on the equipment without waiting around. I used to be able to get in and out smoothly, but now I have to plan around the rush a bit more.

Canceling was just frustrating. It felt harder than it should’ve been, and I kept running into little steps that made the whole thing more annoying. I just wanted to cancel, you know? It shouldn’t take that much effort to cancel

"I’ve been going to my local..."
I’ve been going to my local In-Shape for a little while now, and the place just feels like it’s getting dirtier. The locker room floors are often wet and grimy, the trash cans are stuffed, and I keep noticing machines with dust or old sweat marks that clearly haven’t been wiped down in a while.
I’m not expecting it to look spotless every second, but it should at least feel basically clean. Some of the equipment also feels like it works when it wants to, which just adds to the frustration. It’s hard to enjoy a workout when the whole place feels neglected

"Wish the front desk was friendlier"
My first reaction was kind of like, wow, they really don’t seem happy to be here. The front desk staff came off a bit rude most days, which made the whole experience feel less welcoming than it could’ve been

"Always Waiting on Machines"
Every time I go in, the main machines I need are either already taken or out of order. I end up standing around for what feels like half my workout, and I expected things to be fixed or handled faster. It’s getting hard to feel like the membership is worth it

"I’ve been going to In-Shape for a..."
I’ve been going to In-Shape for a while, but it’s starting to feel run-down. Machines sit broken for weeks, lockers don’t shut right, and the showers don’t seem very clean.

The staff is nice, no issue there, but the upkeep feels ignored. For the price, the basics should work. Lately I just don’t feel great using the place.

Some of the instructors are still really good, and I’ve had a few classes I enjoyed, but lately a lot of them feel kind of rushed and like we’re doing the same things over and over. I used to plan my evenings around going, but now I’m just… not really feeling like it’s worth it anymore

"Billing info could be easier to find"
Overall, I like the gym and I don’t really have any major complaints about the website when I’m just doing basic things like checking info or managing my account.
That said, when it comes to billing, it could definitely be clearer. Depending on what you’re trying to figure out, like fees, charge dates, or cancellation details, it can take more clicking around than it should, and some of it feels a little tucked away.

Customer service did get back to me and explain things, which I appreciated. I just think inshape.com would be better if the costs and cancellation rules were easier to find upfront without needing to contact someone.
